Vangelis St. Zafeiratis

He was born in 1956 in the village of Llazat, in the district of Saranda. He studied economics at the University of Tirana. He lives in the city of Saranda.

From his secondary-school years he devoted himself to literature, and to poetry in particular. He publishes poetry, prose, essays, and folkloric and ethnographic studies. He has worked as an economist and as a journalist. He translates Greek literature into Albanian and vice versa.

As a journalist he worked with the Greek-language press of the Greek National Minority. He has taken part in various literary conferences as a speaker.
